California Fires!

We wanted update those who have called about the fires in Cali! We are doing just fine and are safe in our current location. The air quality is really bad so we will be staying indoors out of the smoke and ash. Below are two pictures from the fires that surround us, they were taken from safely inside our home. It looks like it will be a board game, news watching kind of day!
The above picture is the fire in Yorba Linda, its just a wall of black smoke! This fire is to the East of our house.

This is the Brea fire, this fire is to the North of our house. Both of the fires are heading to the west.

Mini Golf

The girls and I decided that staying home on a holiday is just no fun. So we jumped in the car and headed for a new adventure. The girls both had a coupon for a free round of mini golf at a place called Camalot. It was the first time that the girls had ever played golf, they really seemed to enjoy it. I was just glad that we escaped injury from swinging clubs and lack of talent. The girls excited to get started!

Posing in front of the castle that ate Mackenzie's ball!

This is the only hole on the course we gave up on, the people following behind us were probably very happy that we did.

Trying very hard, we really need to work on our stance!

Notice the tongue of concentration!

SAZOO

The kids are out of school 3 days this week and have 2 half days! So I decided to take the kids to the local zoo for the day. I also took two of their friends that I watch during the week so that their parents could work. They had a great time seeing all the animals, riding the rides, and enjoying the weather!

Chargers vs Chiefs

Ok, so this blog isn't exactly about the Kitts children. I was just so excited about this game that I had to share it with all my friends and family. I am sorry if this offends any Chiefs fans out there, ha ha ha! Mackenzie seems to have made herself some great little friends in Kinder, one of the parents noticed that I was a fan of the Chargers and gave me two of her four season tickets to the last home game. The tickets were field level only 16 rows off the field, I have never been more excited. Those who know me well, know how much of a Charger fan I really am! The game was such a roller coaster ride, yet so much fun. The Chargers won the game 20-19 against the Chiefs.
Here is a great picture of my hubby(he just doesn't know it)Phillip Rivers(17) and the pass off to LT(21)!

TOUCHDOWN!!

My best friend Mike is an even bigger fan of the Chargers!! This picture was taken right after the Chargers blocked the Chiefs attempt at the 2 point conversion!

Halloween Fun!!

Halloween is probably one of the girls favorite holidays! They love to talk about their costumes for an entire month and then beg me to wear them before Halloween for about the same amount of time. The day started early for all of us, as one of the girls best friends, Justin came over at 5am to spend the day with us while his dad worked. Kenzie was lucky enough to be able to spend the whole day in her costume starting with dress up day at school. She was so excited to get to school, I am suprised that she let me take her home at the end of the day.

She was so proud of her costume! We are thinking of taking it to Kansas for Christmas!

Kenzie and Justin!!

The girls along with their dance studio, danced for a local retirement home to help them celebrate Halloween. I was a little worred about Kenzie getting up there and dancing, but she had a great time with her team. This gave them the chance to buddy up with some of the older girls and get to know them. A great way to build a great team, and create team spirit! As the founder of the fun committee I plan on getting the girls even more involved with the community around them!

It was finally time for Halloween to get started. The kids had a wonderful day, but the real party was just getting started. With family and friends surrounding us we enjoyed an evening of family, friends, pizza, and trick-or-treating.
