Crazy Hair Day!

Today was Crazy Hair Day at school!
I just wanted to share with you a few of the best
pictures from this morning!
Yes Kenzie's hair is green and Megan has a bone in hers!
Enjoy!!

Jack and Sally

After school yesterday, I picked up the girls from school and headed to Disneyland. We like to make the most out of our annual passes from Papa and Nana Herron during the year, so that they continue to renew them every Christmas. None of us had ever seen Nightmare Before Christmas until last week when we borrowed it from my best friend Nicki. Needless to say that Kenzie has become addicted to the movie and wont stop watching it, we now know that there is just enough time to watch the whole movie after dropping of sister at school before heading to school ourselves. So it was a big deal to go to Disneyland to ride the Haunted House ride, which is currently decked out in Nightmare Before Christmas style. I would have never guessed that the girls would have gotten the chance to meet Jack and Sally, but there they were. Kenzie was beside herself while she waited in line to meet them and get her picture. She even got Jack into a full on conversation about her t-shirt with Kermit the Frog.

Jack, Kenzie, Sally, and Megan! It took us forever to get this picture, you can see why below!

Kenzie could have talked to Jack for hours if the
Disneyland staff would have let her!
This was such a great day for the girls!
Megan was such a great big sister pointing everything
out to Kenzie on the ride and getting her up to
Jack and Sally through the crowd!

Oak Glen!

The girls made their first trip to Oak Glen this past weekend. It was amazing, the kids had such a great time exploring. Its the first time the girls had ever seen an apple tree or taste real apple cider. Megan enjoyed all the animals in the animal park, her favorite was the old billy goat!

Lyrical Class!

Mackenzie spends a lot of time at the studio watching her big sister dance. Whenever possible I leave Kenzie at home to play while I take Megan to Hip-Hop and Lyrical on Friday nights. Last Friday however I was taking the girls to the opening night of HSM3, so I had to take Kenzie to the studio to watch Megan dance. After almost 2 hours of watching big sis in Hip-Hop class, Kenzie decided she was done watching, she was joining Lyrical class. So she snuck onto the door mat and started stretching with the class. The teacher immediately noticed and corrected her posture, but of course Mackenzie didn't stop there.

She started off stretching in the doorway!!

Megan working on those leg muscles!

Kenzie slowing moving off the mat and moving closer to her sister!

So excited to have not been kicked out of the class yet!!

Kenzie had never been asked to try the splits before, at least she tried!

Finally she made it all the way to the wall!! She is actually very limber!

Then the best part of all, Kenzie was allowed to do a few across the floors with the big girls! She did a great job considering she had never done this kind of dancing before. She learned to spot as she twirled across the floor. The director actually said I could place her into Jazz 1 which is reserved for the older girls. We are truly proud of how much she has improved this year!

Tri-City Park

Sunday afternoon the girls and my best friend Nicki decided to spend some time at the local park. The girls enjoyed feeding the ducks and walking around the lake. We decided to walk up the creek and let the kids play for a little while. The girls love to roll play, its a kick to sit back and listen to their stories.
